Hollywood Basic Crafts Unions Take Defiant Stance in Negotiations with Studios and Streamers
The Hollywood Basic Crafts coalition, comprised of various unions representing workers in the entertainment industry, is taking a strong stance in their latest round of negotiations with major Hollywood studios and streamers. The unions, including Teamsters Local 399, IBEW Local 40, LiUNA! Local 724, UA Local 78, and OPCMIA Local 755, are demanding respect for their members and fair treatment in the bargaining process.
After receiving counterproposals from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the Hollywood Basic Crafts group is preparing their responses before discussions resume on July 8. The negotiations are set to conclude on July 19, just before several contracts expire on July 31.
