Elon Musk Shares Update on Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Software Rollout
Elon Musk, the Technoking and CEO of Tesla, Inc., recently shared an update on the rollout of the next version of the company’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) software. In a social media post, Musk announced the initial release schedule of FSD v12.4.2, stating that the build would move to internal testing and start rolling out to Tesla employees.
Tesla has a dedicated team that conducts testing and validation of the FSD system globally, as revealed by Musk during a previous FSD 12 test drive live-stream demonstration. The upcoming FSD (Supervised) v12.4.2 release aims to improve ride comfort while maintaining high safety standards.
Following issues identified in the previous version, Tesla is set to check for safety regressions in FSD v12.4.2 before rolling it out to owners. Musk confirmed that if no safety regressions are found, the update will be released to Tesla owners on the weekend.
The automaker’s AI team will closely monitor the issues in this version and cautiously release it to testers due to the significant number of changes from the previous version. Tesla engineers are taking precautions to ensure a smooth rollout of the FSD v12.4.2 update.
As anticipation builds for the release of FSD v12.4.2, stay tuned for further updates on Tesla’s Full Self-Driving software.
