Vietnamese Phones and Components Lose Top Export Position to China
Samsung’s Việt Nam factory has been a key player in the country’s export market, contributing significantly to the economy. However, recent statistics have shown a decline in the export value of Vietnamese phones and components to the Chinese market. This decline has caused phones and components to lose their position as the number one export group to China.
Despite this decline, other product groups have seen growth in export turnover to China, including cameras, camcorders, fruits, vegetables, machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts. These groups have seen significant increases in export turnover, showcasing the diversity of Vietnamese exports to China.
The decline in export turnover of phones and components is a concern, as it is the only group to post a decrease in turnover compared to the same period last year. This decline highlights the need for the industry to adapt and innovate to maintain its position in the competitive Chinese market.
Overall, the Vietnamese economy is facing challenges, but with the right strategies and support, the industry can overcome these obstacles and continue to thrive. The government’s focus on removing difficulties for businesses, increasing public investment, and diversifying capital and investment channels will be crucial in supporting the industry’s growth and ensuring its competitiveness in the global market.
