String of Burglaries and Robberies Targeting Businesses and Work Vehicles in Chicago’s North and West Sides

The Chicago Police Department is on high alert as a group of men continues to target businesses and work vehicles on the North and West sides of the city. Since January 18, there have been at least 32 reported incidents of burglaries and robberies, with the suspects breaking into vehicles and buildings to steal property.

The thieves have been smashing windows and doors to gain entry, taking tools and equipment from businesses and work vehicles parked outside. Some businesses have been hit multiple times, with the suspects striking at various locations across the city.

Police have released a vague description of the suspects, who are often seen wearing masks and hoodies. They have been spotted driving a black 2004 Volkswagen Atlas with Illinois license plate ED21641, as well as a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, a white sedan, and a silver SUV.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on these crimes to contact the appropriate detectives at the Chicago Police Department. The community is advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help bring these criminals to justice.
