Fourth Street Standard: A Year of Fresh and Healthy Dining in Downtown Steubenville
Fourth Street Standard, a fast-casual Mexican restaurant in downtown Steubenville, is celebrating its one-year anniversary of serving fresh and healthy food made with good-quality ingredients. Co-owners Trae and Kristen Icuss have created a welcoming atmosphere where customers can customize their burritos, tacos, and bowls or choose from a selection of “standard selections.”
The husband-and-wife duo opened Fourth Street Standard on May 15, offering a menu inspired by their love for fast-casual Mexican cuisine. Trae, who previously co-founded Fresh-Twist, a plant-centric eatery in Steubenville, brings his culinary expertise to the restaurant, while Kristen, a trained dietician, ensures that the menu focuses on nutritious and wholesome options.
The restaurant has quickly gained a loyal following, with regular customers stopping by during their lunch breaks to enjoy the fresh and flavorful dishes. Despite challenges with the historic building, the Icusses have managed to create a successful business that has become a staple in the downtown area.
As Fourth Street Standard looks ahead to its second year of operation, the co-owners have plans to expand their business hours and hire more staff. They also aim to continue providing a unique dining experience that sets them apart from other fast-casual restaurants in the area.
While a Chipotle Mexican Grill may be opening nearby, Trae and Kristen are confident that Fourth Street Standard’s commitment to taste and quality will keep customers coming back for more. As they celebrate their one-year milestone, the Icusses are excited to see what the future holds for their restaurant on the bustling Fourth Street.
