Elon Musk Faces New Allegations of Sexual Misconduct at SpaceX

In a shocking turn of events, new allegations have emerged involving SpaceX founder Elon Musk’s behavior towards female employees at the company. According to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, Musk allegedly had relationships with several female employees and pressured others for sexual favors.

The report, based on interviews with over 48 sources as well as emails, texts, and records, details Musk’s alleged string of sexual encounters or requested ones with women who worked for him. The billionaire reportedly had a relationship with a summer intern before later giving her a role on his executive staff. He also allegedly asked another woman to have his children and engaged in a month-long sexual relationship with a woman he directly supervised in 2014.

Gwynne Shotwell, SpaceX’s president and COO, pushed back on the Journal’s report, calling it filled with “untruths, mischaracterizations, and revisionist history.” She defended Musk, stating that he is “one of the best humans I know” and that the company investigates all sexual harassment complaints and acts on them accordingly.

One female employee reportedly rejected Musk’s offer to have his babies on multiple occasions but stayed in her role. Musk allegedly made it difficult for her to stay by refusing to give her a raise and complaining about her work. She eventually left the company in 2013 with an exit package valued at over $1 million.

Another shocking revelation from the report is Musk’s alleged relationship with a college student who interned at SpaceX in the early 2010s. The woman, who was more than 20 years his junior, reportedly traveled with Musk to Sicily and later accepted a position on his executive staff in 2017. Despite their relationship having ended, Musk allegedly made advances towards her, including touching her breast.

The former intern eventually requested to move off Musk’s executive team and into another role due to the awkward interactions. She left the company in 2019, citing Musk’s behavior as a contributing factor.

These new allegations come on the heels of a previous sexual misconduct claim against Musk in 2018, which was reportedly settled by SpaceX for $250,000. Musk has denied the accusations and stated that engaging in sexual harassment would be unlikely given his 30-year career.

The Independent has reached out to SpaceX for comment on the latest allegations. As the story continues to unfold, the spotlight remains on Elon Musk and his conduct towards female employees at SpaceX.
